It's Your Country, Not the Politicians'

If you are paying attention to the political direction of the country, you are a witnessing a not-so-subtle shift in things that matter to things that don't.

Last week's phony controversy over whether Georgetown University should pay for the contraceptives of a 30-year-old law student so she could do whatever she wished without physical consequences is one example.

The economy, jobs, nuclear weapons in Iran, the possibility of another war in the Middle East were obscured in the bogus culture war the media love to see us fight because they think it will help re-elect President Obama and Democrats to Congress.

Moderates and women, we are told in front-page stories, are trending back toward Democrats over the GOP social agenda. Meanwhile, many Republicans are upset over what they see as their limited choices. That's why the primary season goes on without end.

Pay attention. Get facts. Tell your friends. It's your country, not the politicians'.
