Happy Thanksgiving

November 25, 2004

There is much for which to be thankful.

One of them is not the state of Maryland where government schools have mandated that any teaching about Thanksgiving must exclude references to God.

Teachers may say the Pilgrims thanked the Indians, or each other, but they cannot say the Pilgrims thanked God which, of course, is precisely what they did.

This isn't just political correctness.

It is historical revisionism.

The ruling secular powers think it is ok to lie to students if in doing so they can make the schools and the students even more secular.

Apparently lying is rooted in a moral truth and to say that it is wrong to lie would cause people to think about a law-giver and we just can't have that in Maryland and a lot of other places.

I am thankful to God for bringing my six-year-old grandson through open heart surgery this year.

I'm thankful for a free land where I can worship God freely and I am thankful for our troops who put their lives in the line every day to keep us safe and to extend freedom to others.

I am not thankful to the secularists in the state of Maryland.

Are your children in these schools?

Happy Thanksgiving!
