May 20, 2008 More scientists are concluding that global warming is bad science. Now a new study by a prominent federal scientist who once espoused global warming says it is not to blame for the recent increase in hurricane activity, as Al Gore has suggested.
Research meteorologist Tom Knutson says warmer temperatures actually reduce the number of hurricanes in the Atlantic. Knutson once raised concerns about the effects of climate change on storms.
What makes this study significant is that Knutson is a meteorologist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s fluid dynamics lab in Princeton. He once complained about being censored by the Bush administration on the dangers of global warming.
This is why we need a debate about global warming before politicians force us to change our way of live.
