Gender Reassignment Confuses Justice in UK

January 18, 2011

Just when you think you've heard it all and there is nothing that can surprise comes this story.

A British judge has allowed a transvestite drug dealer to avoid jail because it would ruin his chances of completing a sex change to become a woman.

The dealer, 41-year-old Ian Morris, who has changed his first name to Jean, was found guilty of receiving more than four pounds of an illegal drug. But the court suspended his 11-month jail term because it would interrupt his hormone treatments which, by the way, the government is paying for. As if the NHS doesn't have enough to deal with as it faces budget cuts.

Throughout the court proceedings, the judge kept referring to the defendant as "Miss Morris."

Gender reassignment is what they call it in our politically correct age. Sounds to me like the judge should be reassigned.
