Fast-tracked Naturalization not the Solution

June 1, 2006

A group with proven links to terrorism is demanding “immediate” U.S. citizenship for Arab men whose FBI background checks have not been completed.

A report in the Chicago Sun-Times says the Council on American-Islamic relations and other groups have sued in U.S. district court in Chicago on behalf of nine Arabs and one Pakistani. Plaintiffs complain that naturalization takes significantly longer for Muslims than for others. Well, duh, and thank goodness it does.

Cair has ties to people throughout its national organization who, themselves, have ties to individual terrorists or terrorist groups. Radical Islamists have made clear their intent to destroy the U.S. government and to turn us into an Islamic nation with Sharia law the rule.

If the courts allow Arab men to quickly become naturalized Americans without necessary background checks, they will open the door much wider for terrorists to sneak through the system to kill more of us. I hope the courts see through this scam and protect the interests and lives of the American people.
