We all know Democrats care most for the poor and that these evil, rich 1-percenters are evil because they are rich. You have that, right?
So in light of all of that, the Democrats, who care for the poor, are planning a multi-million dollar blowout this summer at their nominating convention in Charlotte. The party is billing the gathering as the "people's convention," but how many people do you know who can afford luxury skyboxes and other amenities going for as much as $1 million? The convention is expected to cost more than $36 million to stage. They're renting Bank of America Stadium, where the Carolina Panthers football team plays, for the final night when President Obama makes his acceptance speech. The stadium holds 74,000 people.
Bank of America received a bailout of $45 billion courtesy of the taxpayers. I'm sure this is just a coincidence.
The host committee is refusing to release its fundraising records, so the public won't know if the party is complying with the law. Just keep all of this luxury in mind when you hear Democrats say they stand for the 99 percent.
