European Leaders Have No Room to Criticize Bush

President Bush is on a European tour, confronting demonstrators and some so-called leaders who don't like his policies on a missile defense system, global warming or the death penalty.

This is the same Europe that opposed Ronald Reagan's peace through strength efforts and wanted unilateral disarmament to impress upon the Soviet Union we meant them no harm. This is the same Europe that launched two world wars because it couldn't contain Germany and sought to appease Hitler. This is the same Europe that accepted our money to rebuild the continent after World War II and more of our money to offer them a nuclear shield and protection against a Soviet invasion. And let's not forget the tens of thousands of Americans who died for Europe.

And this is the arrogance we get in return. We should tell Europe to defend itself if they don't like us or our ways. Bush is right to stand-up for his policies. He has nothing for which to apologize, especially to this bunch of ingrates and socialists.
