Did Obama Bribe Jeremiah Wright to be Quiet?

You may have heard about the New York Post story on an alleged bribe offered in 2008 to Rev. Jeremiah Wright by someone he calls "one of Barack's closest friends." The alleged bribe was to keep Wright quiet until after the election.

In an interview, Wright says the offer was made to a member of his Chicago church who passed it on to him.

Wright said it was for $150,000.

He also says Obama wanted to meet with him in secret, in a secure place. They wound up meeting in Wright's parsonage.

Wright says Obama personally appealed to him to be quiet or what Obama called "the truth" Wright was preaching would hurt his chances for election. Wright says he refused because, among other things, he had to support his family. He seems to have achieved that goal because after he retired from his pulpit Wright built a million-dollar house in a gated community. Wonder where that money came from?

This is just another example of the failure of the major media to fully vet Barack Obama.
