Clearly Iran is Up to No Good

They go by different names to confuse us -- Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, CAIR and so many more. But all of them have as their stated or hidden goal the destruction of Israel and America. They say so and they are proving so.

Iran is responsible for the deaths of American soldiers and Marines in Afghanistan and Iraq. It's documented and beyond dispute. The arrest last week of a man accused of plotting to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington with Iranian help is one more piece in the large puzzle. While some questions remain to be answered about this incident, it's clear that Iran is up to no good in the world ... at least in our world.

What's to be done? As South Carolina senator Lindsey Graham said on Fox last week, this question ought to be asked of the Republican presidential candidates. With the exception of Ron Paul, who probably thinks we should do nothing, the other candidates should be asked what they would do about Iran if they became president.

This is a question as least as important as the economy because if we get attacked again the economy will be in even worse shape.

In Pittsburgh, I'm Cal Thomas.
