Calling Good Evil and Evil Good

If you are a Christian who believes the Bible contains God's word and that it teaches homosexual practice -- as opposed to orientation -- is a sin, and therefore the Boy Scouts of America are wrong to allow openly gay Scouts in the program, you are, according to a New York Times editorial, a "loathsome" person.

The Times, of course, is a champion of all things gay. Hardly a day goes by without an article, column or editorial that seeks to advance full acceptance of the lifestyle and full rejection of the Christian worldview, which it sees as loathsome. "Bigot" is another favorite word tossed at those with convictions born of biblical instruction.

The Times thinks it's also wrong to bar adult Scout leaders who are gay. Not to worry. Having opened the door to gay Scouts, it's just a matter of time before gay adults are allowed in. Calling evil good is one sign of the end times. The persecution is now only in word, but soon in deed. Everything is on schedule.

I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
