The California legislature has passed a bill requiring state public schools to teach what they call “gay history.” Not a single Republican voted for it. Governor Jerry Brown, a Democrat, has not said yet whether he will sign it, but I’m betting he will.
If you live in California and are looking for one more reason to pull your kids out of these propaganda mills, this should do it for you. This is political correctness gone berserk.
More than 5,000 comments showed up on a Reuters web page. One said, “Students in this country can’t name Supreme Court justices, but it is more important to learn about gay history. This explains why our kids are doing poorly in math, science and for the most part everything compared to other countries.”
California government schools rank near the bottom in math and reading compared to the rest of the country, but kids will now a lot about homosexual history.
As another commentator wrote, “This is insane.” Indeed, it is.
