Blood Should be Thicker than Oil

Don't you get a little irritated when you see the so-called Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia dictating to the elected president of the United States what he must do to the elected prime minister of Israel?

Aren't you disturbed when you consider that Saudi Arabia sponsors terrorism and the most extreme and violent brand of Islam and yet he demands that President Bush tell Ariel Sharon to stop the violence? What about Yasser Arafat and Saddam Hussein and Iran, among others?

Saudia Arabia has warned of "grave consequences" if our president doesn't moderate U.S. support for Israel. There will be grave consequences all right. More of these people who foment violence will be in their graves.

The only thing they understand is strength. Saudi Arabia and its allies could not win five wars they started against Israel and so they're now trying terror to undermine Israeli and Western resolve. I hope the president stands up to Saudi Arabia and stands behind Israel. Blood should be thicker than oil. I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
