Battle for Supreme Court Looms

Get ready for the battle of a lifetime. Not against al-Qaeda, but the liberal battle for the future of the Supreme Court.

Already, liberal democrats are launching pre-emptive strikes against the president as one, possibly two, Supreme Court justices could retire occur at the end of this term next month.

Liberal web pages are full of incendiary rhetoric about the president and his supposed effort to undo civil rights and force women into back alleys where they will use rusty coat hangers to abort their babies. It will get worse than this.

For 40 years, liberals have imposed their agenda through unelected and unaccountable federal judges. They turned to the courts which makeup the constitution as they go along, because they could not have succeeded in congress.

They know that conservatives will return to the original document and the social changes they have wrought may be overturned.

You’ve been warned what to expect. It’s going to be nasty, but the outcome could make things better for the next 40 years if the president fights for his nominees.

I’m Cal Thomas in Washington.
