Al Qaeda seems to be running low on people willing to blow up themselves and others in the service of Allah. So they're doing what Westerners would do: They're advertising.
On its Internet forum under the heading "Area of Activity: The Planet Earth," the ad seeks jihadists to carry out suicide, or as I like to call them, "homicide" attacks.
Applicants must be Muslim, mentally mature, dedicated, able to listen and utterly committed to completing their mission, according to the Hebrew Daily newspaper.
The ad is accessible only to al Qaeda members and includes other instructions and requirements. A military panel will select the target -- which it says will include financial, military and media targets -- but the applicant-bomber will make all the preparations.
Needless to say, this is not a career, as it is a one-time job. You could also file this story under "peaceful religion."
