A Demonstration for the Future

September 15, 2009

There was a demonstration in Washington last Saturday. The New York Times buried the story on page 32 after announcing the story was on page 37. The few big media that covered it were disdainful. These are the people the elites view as substandard - taxpaying, God-fearing, NASCAR-loving, flag-waving Americans.

The left mocks their looks, clothes and signs, but they exercised their First Amendment rights to petition their government for a redress of grievances. They are tired of bloated government spending their money irresponsibly.

The left hates people like this, like you, because they want to take away our power … the power over our health and even our life. And power is what big government is all about. The founders never wanted government to become unresponsive to the people and irresponsible to boot.

All of us need to keep up the pressure. We can't be lazy about this and go back to business as usual. The future of our country is at stake and if we don't shape that future, the left will.
