VP Mike Pence at CPAC: ‘We Need Your Prayers’

Vice President Mike Pence spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Thursday, and highlighted the conservative values of the Trump administration as well as the administration’s need for prayer.

According to The Blaze, Pence spoke for more than 20 minutes about his friendship with President Trump, about the conservative cabinet that is part of the administration, and about the need for God to help them in their work.

“With your help and with God’s help and with President Donald Trump in the White House…the best days for America are yet to come. Let’s get to work,” Pence told the crowd.

Pence also talked about how his friendship with and respect for the President has grown over their brief time in office, despite the comments some have made about the personalities of the two men being polar opposites of each other.

“It is the greatest privilege of my life to be Vice President to a leader of such conviction, vision and courage,” Pence added.

Pence ended his speech by referencing II Chronicles 7:14--the Bible verse on which he was sworn in as Vice President:

“If his people, who are called by his name, will humble themselves and pray — [God will] hear them from heaven and he’ll heal this land,” Pence said, quoting the verse.

President Trump also spoke at CPAC on Friday. He noted the momentum of the Make America Great Again movement and also stressed the need to be aware of fake news stories promoted by certain media outlets.
