Trump Offers Attorney General Position to Sen. Jeff Sessions

President-elect Donald Trump has reportedly offered Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions the position of Attorney General in his new administration.

Sessions earned Trump’s favor by being the first senator to endorse Trump, according to ABC News. Sessions also maintained his support for Trump through the various controversies which plagued his campaign.

Sessions has been a frequent visitor to Trump Tower in the past week as Trump and his transition team undertake the process of picking members of the new administration.

Sessions is a staunch conservative and was the former attorney general of Alabama, according to The Blaze.

LifeNews.com also notes that Sessions has a firm pro-life record.

“I firmly believe that Roe v. Wade and its descendants represent one of the worse, colossally erroneous Supreme Court decisions of all time.  It was an activist decision…it was a Court that decided to politically impose their will,” Sessions, who has a 100 percent pro-life voting record, stated.

“Good law should prevail,” he continued.  “Our policies in this country as a nation should focus on life, should focus on decency, and focus on love for even the least of these.”

Trump’s team has also appointed Rep. Mike Pompeo as CIA Director and Retired Lt. General as National Security Advisor.

More cabinet picks are likely to be announced soon.
