Tim Tebow Rushes to Help Family Suffering Medical Emergency

Christian athlete Tim Tebow continues to make headlines, but not for anything related to his football career.

On Sunday, Tebow was on a plane flying from Atlanta to Phoenix when another passenger started experiencing chest pains and other symptoms.

Tebow, along with other passengers, rushed to help the man and his family. Tebow, who is well-known not only for being a Heisman Trophy winner, but for his commitment to his faith, reportedly comforted the family and prayed with them. Other passengers helped give the man chest compressions.

In a Facebook post after the event, passenger Richard V. Gotti wrote, “He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation.”

The Associated Press reports that Tebow also gave the family a car that had been waiting to pick him up when the plane arrived in Phoenix.

Many praised Tebow’s selfless concern for those in need. Tebow also recently showed his concern for others when he left his vacation in the Bahamas to be with a former high school football teammate who was injured in the Orlando shooting.

The condition of the man who suffered what was apparently a heart attack has not been reported, although a Delta Airlines spokesman confirmed the medical emergency.
