Three More Mars Hill Pastors Step Down from Church Leadership

Three more pastors from Mars Hill Church have resigned from the megachurch.

Dustin Kensrue, the Mars Hill Church Director of Worship, stepped down on Monday. Gary Shavey and Adam Ramsey, pastors at Mars Hill Bellevue, have also resigned.

In a letter, Kensrue said the resignation was “most helpful and loving thing I can do for you [his congregation]".

Kensrue was part of the team of pastors that penned a letter asking for Driscoll to step down. Kensrue said he was given just a few options after that.

"My options were to essentially do nothing and keep my mouth closed, to keep pressing internally until they were forced to fire me, or to resign," he wrote.

"While the nine signers of the letter that was leaked last week have been met with gratefulness and an outpouring of prayer from the people of Mars Hill, internally we have been dismissed and defamed as 'immature' among other epithets."

Also, Mark Dunford, pastor of Mars Hill Portland, was reportedly removed from his job on 27 August.
