Terror Attack Thwarted by Israeli Authorities near Jerusalem

On Tuesday morning an attempted terror attack was thwart in the Adumim bloc in Israel, just east of Jerusalem.

According to Arutz Sheva, an Israeli National News site, a female terrorist near a gas station in Mishor Adumim, Israel, attempted to stab a group of soldiers while wielding a knife.

Micky Rosenfeld, a spokesman for the police force, made a statement saying, "A female terrorist attempted to stab border police officers at the petrol station near Mishor Adumim." 

Reportedly, the woman attempted to hide in a falafel shop next to the gas station, and after being asked to and refusing to leave, security forces were called. The woman then fled the scene and was later found heading toward the town of Alon.

Arutz Sheva reports that when confronted, the woman terrorist charged at the soldiers with a knife and a scissor in her hands and shouted at them in Arabic.

The woman was shot by Israeli security forces while she charged at them. No one else was hurt.

According to the news outlet, the woman was treated at the scene before being transported to a hospital where she is being monitored. The terrorist is in moderate condition.

Reportedly, authorities have identified the woman as a 37-year-old who lives in the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Yatta.
