Planned Parenthood Gave Campaign Contribution to Senators Who Voted Against Defunding

Thousands of pro-life supporters protested this weekend at Planned Parenthood sites across the country.

According to LifeNews.com, supporters joined together after a series of videos were released that showed top Planned Parenthood officials making plans to sell aborted baby body parts.

The videos have sparked outrage and rallied pro-life advocates. In total, about 50,000 to 75,000 people protested over the weekend, according to LifeNews.com.

Other videos detail how some members of Congress voted to defeat a bill that would have defunded Planned Parenthood. According to LifeNews.com, Planned Parenthood financed the campaigns of the senators who voted against defunding the clinics.

“Detailed research proves that the abortion lobby pads the pockets of lawmakers. In turn, these lawmakers are willing to stand on the Senate floor, blatantly spewing out the very same lies Planned Parenthood tells the public – all to prevent an abusive organization from being defunded,” LiveAction notes. “According to publicly available federal campaign donation records, every single Senator who voted not to defund Planned Parenthood, except one, has been awarded money from the abortion giant.”

Sen. Angus King, who voted against the measure, was the only congressman who did not accept Planned Parenthood financing.
