Oklahoma: 13 Churches Robbed by Mystery Thieves

Churches in Enid, Oklahoma have been facing a burglary epidemic, with 13 churches robbed in a month.

According to CBN News, those responsible for the attacks have not yet been caught. Enid police Lt. Tim Jacobi asked residents to help stop the robberies.

“We take the victimization of our local churches very seriously," said Jacobi.

Jacobi said that the thieves have broken into and robbed four churches just in the past week. They have been stealing any money they can find, including lock boxes and safes.

"During most of these burglaries, they are looking specifically for money and so they are targeting the office area of the churches," Jacobi said.

One of the churches that was targeted by the thieves, Trinity Baptist Church, decided to let the thieves know that God knew what they were doing.

Trinity Baptist put up a sign that read, “God Saw You Do It!”
