Christian singer Kari Jobe says she was grateful to be part of the Los Angeles Freedom Concert Experience headlined by Justin Bieber.

As part of the 1DayLA charity event, some 20,000 volunteers across Southern California participated in service projects and community service. The volunteers were then able to attend a worship concert hosted by Jason Kennedy of E! News, featuring Bieber.

The concert also included performances from Jobe, Chandler Moore of Maverick City, Chance the Rapper, Jaden Smith, and Tori Kelly.

“Still so moved about last night,” Jobe said on Instagram along with clips of the concert.

Bieber joined Jobe in several songs.

“Many of you may not be used to this kind of atmosphere. But what you are experiencing is the presence of God. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus,” Bieber said during the concert.

According to 1DayLA’s description, the event was held to offer “hope and help by organizing city beautification projects, back-to-school events, free medical clinics, homeless assistance, and aid distribution.”

Bieber reportedly said he wanted to join the 1DayLA movement “because of his strong and long-held belief that giving of ourselves in service to others is one of the most important things we can do.” He said he is “committed to the powerful idea that a movement for change can start with individuals helping one another and their community,”

Tori Kelly, who recently released a gospel album called Hiding Place, also performed at the concert and later shared her thanks for participating in the concert.

“The Freedom Experience, what an incredible night filled with so much love!!” Kelly wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to @1dayLA & the thousands of volunteers who went & served this city. thank you to the entire crew who made this event possible! Thank you JESUS.”

Bieber’s pastor, Judah Smith, of Churchome, also spoke at the concert, and many other ministers also attended, including Nashville’s The Belonging Co. Pastor Henry Seely and Social Dallas Pastor Robert Madu.

Irish mixed martial artist and boxer Conor McGregor was also seen at the event with his family and can be seen in video clips raising his hands to God.
