Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former President Donald Trump, partnered with Pastor Paula White to distribute food boxes at White's City of Destiny church in Apopka, Florida.

Trump, who served as a senior advisor when her father was president, had previously helped with the Farmers to Families Food Box program during her father’s term.

“It was so great to have @ivankatrump @cityservehq and so many Pastors and great volunteers making a difference in the most vulnerable areas,” pastor Paula White said on Instagram. “We did home visits, church distribution, met with human trafficking survivors and touched thousands of lives!”

According to CBN News, the team gave about 1,300 food boxes at the church, to homes and to The Lifeboat Project, a sex-trafficking victims shelter.

"Human Trafficking is a crime against humanity and that alone stands above politics," The Lifeboat Project said in a Facebook post. "Today was a beautiful day to put politics aside at The Lifeboat Project and let faith and truth be our topic of connection."

The Farmers to Families Food Box program began in April 2020 and provides food from farmers directly to families in need.

In total, USDA contractors have delivered some 144,870,000 boxes of fresh food to Americans since the program launched.

"The farmers to families food box is an amazing program that must be continued! @IvankaTrump created this beautiful initiative to support farmers and families struggling because of COVID-19,” said Former Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle in a tweet.

The food distribution was the first public appearance that Trump has made since her father left the White House.

The food boxes are part of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program and earmarks up to $6 billion to buy fresh dairy, produce, and meat from American producers and provide the food to Americans across the country.
