Former Muslim Becomes a Christian, Aims to Reach Radical Muslims

A young Muslim who converted to Christianity after seeing a vision of Jesus now wants to return to his home town to preach God’s love to his fellow Muslims.

CharismaNews.com contributor Gordon Hicks tells the story of of Ali Husnain who grew up as a devout Shia Muslim in Pakistan.

At the age of 16, Ali visited his aunt in Oxford, England. While there, he met some friendly Christians who invited him to church. It was there at that church service that Ali gave his life to Christ.

When an invitation was given at the end of the service, Ali stepped forward, hoping to encounter Jesus, and that is just what happened. The Holy Spirit came into his life and Ali had a vision of the Lord.

When Ali went back home to Pakistan, his new faith was not accepted. Radical Islamic terrorists targeted him at school. They held him down and stabbed him in the heart.  However, Ali once again saw a vision of Jesus, and was miraculously healed.

He was rescued and flown back to the UK where his persecutors followed him. He had friends, however, who safely hid him for a time.

Ali finally was granted asylum from the British government and was allowed to remain in England. His hope, however, is to bring the Gospel to those in his hometown in Pakistan.

Hicks writes that individuals like Ali provide hope for these dark times when many of us fear radical Islamic terrorists who carry out attacks such as the recent attack in Nice, France. God's love is what conquers the greatest evil.
