Elderly Christian Nurse Cries out to God and is Saved from Islamic Terrorist Attack

An elderly Dutch nurse is giving all credit to God for saving her from a brutal stabbing attack by an Islamic terrorist while she rode an Israeli bus.

Christian Today reports that 78-year-old  Marike Veldman is now hospitalized and recovering from her injuries. She was riding an Israeli bus with other passengers when two Palestinian terrorists began attacking those on the bus.

One terrorist began shooting passengers while, “The man in front of me began stabbing into me,” Veldman recalled.

Veldman said she cried out to God to save her from the attack. "Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus! Help me, help me!" she pleaded. When the terrorist heard her invoke the name of Jesus, he ceased his attack.

Two Christian passengers died in the attack and 16 were severely wounded, Israeli authorities stated.

Veldman is now in stable condition, although she remains hospitalized with serious injuries, including a punctured lung.

Veldman is originally from the Netherlands, but moved to Israel years ago to care for Palestinian orphans and other children in need, says One For Israel blog.

Violence in Israel has been escalating in recent weeks. Israelis and Palestinians are clashing over the site of Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa mosque, a site both groups claim.
