A Florida woman recently survived being without a pulse for 45 minutes. Ruby Graupera-Cassismo’s heart stopped beating after giving birth to her daughter; the 40-year-old mother resuscitated and maintained full brain function, an incredible situation that doctors are calling a “double miracle.”

The hospital spokesman said that “divine providence” saved Graupera-Cassismo’s life.

Breaking Christian News reports that Graupera-Cassismo’s family had already said their goodbyes and left the room when she resuscitated.

"It was a complete miracle of God. It was answered prayer," said Julie Ewing, a nurse who cared for Graupera-Cassismo. "We all were there. We all witnessed it."

Dr. Anthony Dardano, president of the hospital's medical staff said, "There's very few things in medicine that I've seen, working in the trauma center myself and doing all the things that I do, that really were either unexplainable or miraculous. And when I heard this story that was the first thing that came to my mind.”
