Chip Gaines Responds to Divorce Rumors: ‘Won’t Ever Happen’

There has been a rumor circulating that Chip and Joanna Gaines, the well-known stars of the HGTV show “Fixer Upper” are getting a divorce.

Recently, Chip Gaines made very clear that the rumor was just that--a rumor, with no truth to it.

According to The Blaze, Chip cleared the air with a straightforward tweet on Friday:

He also referred to Joanna as the “love of my life.”

Chip and Joanna tell the story of their marriage and how they came to find themselves as the stars of “Fixer Upper” in their new book The Magnolia Story.

In the book and in the TV show, the couple seems to have a strong, fun-loving relationship, and Chip’s tweet makes it clear that there is nothing fake about that and the couple truly does have a thriving marriage.

It is unclear where the rumors started, but one fan echoed the thoughts of many who support Chip and Joanna with this tweet that read:

“I’m so sick of these ‘stories’ claiming [Joanna Gaines] and [Chipper Gaines] breaking up. Leave this couple alone they are wonderful together.”

Earlier this year, Chip and Joanna became embroiled in controversy when it was reported that the pastor of the church which they attend teaches that homosexuality is a sin.

The couple steered clear of affirming or denying this allegation, but instead assured fans and critics alike that they seek to love everyone and use their influence to engage with others, not argue with them.

“Jo and I refuse to be baited into using our influence in a way that will further harm an already hurting world, this is our home. A house divided cannot stand,” Chip wrote.
