Chad Soldiers Kill Over 200 Boko Haram Militants

A skirmish between Chadian soldiers and Boko Haram militants left 207 militants dead, according to reports. Chadian Army spokesmen claimed that it lost only one casualty to the fighting, though the claims have not been verified.

The Chadian Army also reportedly seized weapons and ammunition from the militants, in addition to two pickup trucks.

The battle occurred near the border town of Garambu, Christian Today reports.

Chad had previously been involved with the fight against Boko Haram, along with Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon. Most recently, Chadian soldiers had assisted pushing back militants that had entered the Chadian town of Ngouboua.
