Casting Crowns' Mark Hall Performing Again after Beating Cancer

Casting Crowns lead singer Mark Hall has recovered from the surgery that followed his cancer diagnosis and is touring again. The singer told Breathe Cast he is “doing great” at the K-LOVE Fan Awards.

"It was a slow process, but I'm back in the saddle, and we're on the road again doing our student ministry. So it was an interesting year," he said.

Earlier this year, doctors removed Hall’s cancerous right kidney. The singer suffered some complications but Hall and his family kept a positive outlook throughout the ordeal.

The Christian band rallied around Hall in prayer, as did fans around the world.

Casting Crowns violinist Melodee DeVevo said, “We're basically one big family. It's just incredible to see the power of prayers when you see them being answered. It's been a big blessing to me personally to have the privilege of praying for one of my best friends.”

Christian Today reports next on the horizon for the band is recording a live record and starting work on a worship record.
