A California pastor was stabbed to death last week allegedly at the hands of his son.
According to ChristianToday.com, Bishop Teman Bostic Sr. was stabbed several times last Friday at his San Leandro apartment. The 55-year-old was bishop at the Mt. Olive Apostolic Original Holy Church of God in Menlo Park.
Bostic was also president of Crime Prevention Narcotics Drug Education Center and was a member of the Rotary Club.
"With heavy hearts we announce the untimely passing or our father, and pastor, Bishop Teman L. Bostic Sr.," the church announced on Facebook. "He evangelised nationally and internationally. He will be greatly missed. We are soliciting your prayers during our time of great loss."
Bostic’s son, Isaiah Bostic, 21, was arrested for the killing. Isaiah and his father both lived in the apartment.
Police arrived at the apartment after a neighbor called, saying they heard screaming and a man saying that he did “not want to die.”
Police arrived to find Bostic dead and Isaiah covered in blood.
Isaiah is being held without bail.
"(Bishop Bostic) was warmhearted and warm-spirited, a joy to be around," said Pastor Apostle Ross Garrison Jr., longtime friend of Bostic in an interview with SJMN. "You couldn't get none better than this real disciple of Jesus Christ."
