Boko Haram militants are believed to be behind two recent accents in Cameroon and Nigeria.
In northern Cameroon, 15 people were killed when gunmen opened fire on a bus transporting passengers from Kousseri to Maroua. More victims sustained serious injuries and authorities expect the death toll to rise.
The attack occurred on Jan. 1.
In another attack Dec. 31, suspected Boko Haram terrorists abducted 40 boys and young men from the village of Malari in northeast Nigeria. Christian Today reports that the militants were armed but did not fire on the village.
Witness Mohammed Zarami told Reuters, “They took away over 40 (male) youths mostly between the ages of 15 to 23. As I am talking to you now, there is no youth in our village.”
