A nine-year-old Yazidi girl who was released by ISIS last week is pregnant from 10 ISIS militants raping on her. The child is one of over 200 women and children that were released from ISIS captivity last week, according to The Christian Post.
A Canadian aid worker said the girl is too young to be pregnant and delivering a baby could kill her.
"This girl is so young she could die if she delivers a baby,” the aid worker said. “Even a caesarian section is dangerous. The abuse she has suffered left her mentally and physically traumatized."
The child has been taken to Germany to be cared for by a medical charity.
The other women and children that were released are free to return to their homes and families, but many will have difficulty being accepted in their former communities, especially those who have become pregnant from rape.
The aid worker said, "If they are married, their husbands won't take them back if they are pregnant. And it's clear that the babies will never be accepted. I don't know what the future would be for their babies. The girls and women don't want them. They have suffered so much they just want to forget."
