Among attacks on church buildings and mosques in Sudan after fighting broke out within the Sudanese military last month, a priest and other Christians were reportedly shot and injured in at least one assault with apparent anti-Christian motives.

For leaving Islam to accept Christ, a young mother in Sudan was chained in her home, subjected to electrical shocks at a psychiatric hospital and has lost her children, a local source said.

Authorities in southeastern Sudan on Friday (Feb. 17) arrested a church leader for preaching to Muslims, according to a local Christian group.
