The Obama administration's first budget, presented yesterday to this Democrat Congress, is a fiction. The numbers are staggering: $3.8 trillion in spending that includes a $1.6 trillion deficit. It will create no jobs in the private sector, but maybe more government jobs.
Remember when George Bush's deficit was $450 billion and Democrats called it an unjust burden on our children and grandchildren? Oh, but they weren't running the government then. What kind of burden is $1.6 trillion? And the national debt stands at $12 trillion. The interest alone would pay for all sorts of things.
How long can this go on? Not long, according to the Congressional Budget Office director, who has called this debt "unsustainable." We are mortgaging our country to China and Saudi Arabia. Who will stop the spending before it's too late?
