Will They or Won't They?

Will They or Won't They?

Will they or won't they? Will they or won't they? Will we or won't we?

Here's the translation. The first "they" is Iran. Will Iran build a nuclear weapon to use against Israel, or the U.S., or just use it for intimidation?

The second "they" is Israel. Will Israel attack the nuclear sites buried deep underground in Iran, and will Israel be successful?

The "we" is the United States. Will the U.S. help Israel, directly or indirectly, in eliminating Iran's nuclear threat, and if we do, will sleeper cells hit American targets on U.S. soil? Will Hezbollah, Iran's puppet, strike at Israel, or U.S. troops, in Afghanistan and elsewhere?

All of these questions are ones I am glad I don't have to answer. But it's not looking good. I wonder if things might be different if we had a strong president who let Iran and the rest of the Islamists know we have no intention of negotiating with them and if they attack us they will die to regret it? Just asking.

I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
