Why Did Romney Appoint a Gay Activist to His Staff?

Question: Would a Democratic presidential candidate or president knowingly appoint a pro-life, pro-traditional marriage evangelical Christian to his campaign or White House staff? I doubt it.

And yet Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee named a gay activist, Richard Grenell, to his foreign policy team and then let him go when some conservatives objected.

From all reports, Grenell is a good foreign policy analyst, but he is also a promoter of the homosexual agenda, or "marriage equality," which is the preferred term of those who favor same-sex marriage.

Yes, I know there are sinners of all stripes, but the heterosexual ones aren't pushing for laws that normalize adultery and teach it as OK in our schools.

You can tell something about someone by the people they select for their staff. We'll put this one down as a simple mistake, but Romney bears watching. He needs to be encouraged to select people who will push a conservative agenda, not a left-wing social agenda. There are enough of them on the Democrat side.
