Waking Up to the Threat of Islamic Extremism

Islamists continue their efforts to occupy the world one country at a time while the U.S. government pretends there is no real threat.

Al Qaeda appears to be gaining the upper hand in the revolt against the regime of Syria's Bashar al-Assad.

In Mali, an African nation whose most famous town is Timbuktu, Islamist occupying a northern town have stoned an unmarried couple to death in front of 200 people. The couple reportedly had two children, the youngest six months old.

This isn't the only atrocity committed by the Islamists in Mali, or for that matter, by Islamists around the world. This is what they stand for. This is what they seek to impose on all of us. They are infiltrating Western governments, including our own. In an age of extreme political correctness, we choose not to believe it.

Believe it! They are more dangerous than the Nazis or communists, and if we don't wake up to the threat, we will not get a second chance.

I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
