A report in the Middle East Quarterly should get everyone’s attention. Called “Sharia and Violence in American Mosques,” the authors have amassed what columnist Diana West calls “a solid bank of peer-reviewed data attesting to the presence and promotion of literature advocating violence in the majority of 100 randomly selected American mosques.”
Yes, a majority of mosques in America promote violence. You heard that right. Forget the post 9-11 myth articulated by George W. Bush and the hapless state department that Islam is a peaceful religion, hijacked by a radical fringe.
Eighty-one percent of American mosques feature Islamic literature that advocates violence. Further, 85 percent of the imams recommend the literature. Only 19 percent of the mosques don’t feature violent material and just 15 percent of the imams don’t recommend it.
We are being infiltrated by jihadists. Who will speak to this? Will the presidential candidates? Probably not because they don’t want to be labeled “islamophobes.” The threat is real and the Middle East Quarterly proves it.
