Time is Up for Saddam Hussein

Saddam Hussein’s number is up.   He’ll let inspectors in, but he’s had plenty of time to hide what they are looking for.   Evil cannot be appeased.   It must be resisted and destroyed.   It has always been so.

Those who appease evil will have a greater evil to deal with.   Saddam Hussein is a brutal dictator who has killed untold numbers of people.   He cannot be negotiated with.   He must be toppled.

War is a terrible thing and must not be entered into lightly.   In the case of Saddam Hussein, he must be destroyed before he can destroy us.

Already the terrorist cells in this country may be programmed to attack us if we attack Hussein, but we cannot allow such a possibility to stop us from doing what is right or we will be blackmailed forever.

If we are attacked for liberating Iraq, we should immediately go into every neighborhood where we know extremists live and clean the places out. And then we need to do something about our immigration laws to keep such people from coming here at all.

I’m Cal Thomas in Washington.
