The Mocking Media Line Up

June 18, 2010

Last Monday night in New York, I met Sharron Angle and her husband, Ted. We were appearing on Sean Hannity's Fox program. Sharron is running against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. They reminded me of a pregnancy center event at which I spoke a few years ago in Reno. They were in the audience.

Ted and Sharron are Christians. I mention this because of something David Brody of CBN news wrote on his blog. Brody noted the Angles attend Fellowship Community Church in Reno where Red is a deacon and director of senior adults. The church believes the Bible is the "sole authority and given to us by inspiration from God." That is mainstream evangelical belief. But as Brody warns, look for Democrats and the pagan media to go after this and ask Angle if she believes in a six-day creation and whether adulterers should be stoned.

That's what they did to Sarah Palin. The media always mock any faith other than faith in government. You can bet on this strategy. Write it down. I just hope Sharron Angle has some good rejoinders. Here's one suggestion. On the question of stoning adulterers, she could say, "If that's the only way to get term limits, I'm for it."
