See No Evil

December 15, 2005

The president of Iran says the holocaust is a myth and he wants Israel to be relocated in Europe. Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon is widely reported to be ready to offer new unilateral concessions, including parts of east Jerusalem and almost all of the west bank if he can get peace in exchange. Austria condemns Arnold Schwarzenegger – it’s native son – for not commuting the death sentence of Tookie Williams.

What do these stories have in common? Two things. One is the presence of evil as with Iran’s president and the now dead murderer Tookie Williams. The other is the failure to understand and resist evil.

These Middle Eastern nuts are serious. They say they want to eliminate Israel, kill Jews, Christians and anyone else who doesn’t agree with them. Then they demonstrate they are not just posturing by engaging in behavior and adopting policies they believe will achieve their objectives.

The West continues in denial and believes it is what we do that affects what they do. The only thing that will affect what they do is if we do what they do better than they do; and we do it first. Anybody want to disagree with that?
