Prime Terrorist

The Palestinian authority appears ready to get a new prime minister. Ahmed Qureia is the number three guy in Yasser Arafat's Fatah terror organization.

Change the players in a bad play and the play remains just as bad. Arafat and his cronies know the Bush administration is desperate to seem to be making progress in the Middle East and they are happy to help with the charade for their own purposes.

But it doesn't matter who is prime minister. All believe the same thing - that Israel should be eradicated and the Jews either expelled or made subservient to Islamic law.

Why is it so difficult for Colin Powell's state department to understand these things? Why does Powell persist in saying that Israel must show restraint in the face of new homicide bombings and threats to her sovereignty?

The United States isn't showing restraint in Iraq, Afghanistan or within our own borders. The least we should encourage Israel to do is what we are doing.

Prime minister, my foot. Prime terrorist is more like it.
