The issue is whether the federal government can order everyone to buy into a government health insurance pool if they decline to purchase private insurance. If you're a socialist, like this administration, you want to kill the private sector and have everyone in the government pool. From there you can decide who gets treatment and who doesn't, and who lives and who dies based on a formula that has nothing to do with the intrinsic value of a person's life, but whether you are cost-effective and contributing more to the pool than you take from it.
How this case is ultimately decided will determine whether we are able to stop the march towards a socialist state, or not. I'd say that's worth our time and attention.
