Obama's Next Four Years: More of the Same

The 113th Congress was sworn in last Thursday and John Boehner was re-elected as House speaker. There are 20 women senators, a record. They told ABC's Diane Sawyer women are better at working together than men, who have ego problems.

We'll see about that and what it means. President Obama is still president and he will issue executive orders -- as he has just done to allow more illegals to stay in America -- in order to bypass Congress.

The president has no intention of reducing spending. He wants to expand the welfare state, raise taxes even more and "level the playing field," as he likes to say, meaning everyone should take home the same lower amount of pay for their work.

The president is a socialist-redistributionist and if Congress won't go along, he will do without them. Who will challenge him? Not Congress. Not the Supreme Court. Not the people who are getting the free money. We have four more years of this to look forward to and after that our beloved nation may never be the same.

I'm Cal Thomas.
