Norm For The Future?

July 11, 2005

As I watched the terrorist events in London last Thursday, I wasn’t surprised that it happened.

I was surprised more were not killed.

Indeed, there were reports that several unexploded devices were found.

What surprises me is that the politicians won’t do what is necessary to properly deal with the people who perpetrate these acts.

Britain and the United States let them in to our countries.

We allow them to preach hate and sedition from their mosques and teach evil in their radical Islamic schools, which are supported by the Wahaabi extremists in Saudi Arabia.

We won’t shut down these terrorist recruitment and indoctrination centers.

We won’t keep more of them from coming in by better controlling our borders.

So what do we expect will happen?

Is this the norm for the future: more terrorist attacks and trying to control the killers?

That is unacceptable.

Phony notions of pluralism and tolerance won’t hold when we have been and are being invaded.

It’s time for government leaders to tell the truth about the threat and to act as if we have been attacked by a foreign power…which we have.

In Northern Ireland, I’m Cal Thomas.
