News from the Abortion Front Lines

Two news items on the abortion front.

A federal judge in Texas has struck down a state law that required women seeking an abortion to view a sonogram of their unborn child before the procedure. All other surgical procedures require full disclosure to patients. Only this one is excepted. What could be wrong with fully informing women before they make their choice? The liberals don’t want women to see a sonogram because more than 90 percent of those who do choose life.

Another federal judge has ordered the state of Kansas to resume funding to a Planned Parenthood chapter. A state law had stripped the organization of all federal funding for non-abortion services.

Both of these decisions are political acts, and higher courts should overturn them, but unless those judges are conservatives, I am not optimistic it will happen.
