Mary, Joseph and the U.S. Census

December 24, 2009

Latino groups are using evangelical Christian churches and the story of Mary and Joseph registering for the census and paying their taxes to pump up the number of Hispanics counted in the 2010 census.

These groups want to include illegal aliens in the count. Why? Their agenda is about political power for themselves and liberal Democrats and also money for themselves that Washington doesn't have.

Now imagine if an evangelical church aligned with conservatives or Republicans tried to do this. You know the outcry that would be heard, especially from the media elites, the ACLU and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. But because the Latino groups are mostly liberal and serve the social and political agendas of the left, I predict you won't hear a peep from the usual suspects who scream at the favorable mention of Jesus in conservative circles.

The double standard and hypocrisy reeks, but it is something we have come to expect.

On more important matters, I hope the Christ who is Christmas blesses you and your family this Christmas and throughout 2010. I'm Cal Thomas wishing you a merry Christmas.
