Does it concern you that the Obama administration is leaking too much information about terror plots? Maybe it's trying to make itself look good, but this is dangerous. Besides, what can the average citizen do about a terrorist who has a surgically implanted bomb in his or her own body?
Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey says the administration is releasing too much information about terror plots and intelligence operations. The most recent are details about the foiled underwear bomber who turned out to be a double agent working for the CIA. There is no credible reason for releasing such information, other than politics. How does knowing about this help the public? It doesn't.
There was a saying during World War II: "Loose lips sink ships." It meant if you tell what you know, it might harm the United States.
Loose lips about fighting terrorists can sink us. The terrorists only have to get it right once. Telling them what we know improves their chances.
