Looking for a Real Job?

March 19, 2010

Three top Obama administration economic officials say American employers will not hire enough workers this year to lower the jobless rate much below the level of 9.7 percent. But the three - Treasury Secretary Geithner, Budget Director Orsag and Council of Economic Advisers Chair Romer, say about 100,000 jobs per month should be added. What they don't tell you is that many of these jobs will be government jobs and not jobs in the private sector which produces goods and services people want to buy.

The way to unleash real job growth is to defeat mandated health insurance legislation and lower taxes on businesses and individuals. That puts more money into the economy, allows for more hiring - and because more are working producing goods and services people want - the government gets more revenue.

But this isn't about jobs. It is about control by government over every facet of our lives. It is big government run amok and big brother in your face.

The left is nearing its goal of total government control of everything and everybody. If it happens it will be the fault of those who didn't pay attention or who bought the lie.
